There was this young lady who said this to me, "Ma'am why is it that when I look at the mirror, I always see myself as a beautiful woman?"
I didn't know what to say at all. She's not attractive at all and yet, she has this confidence that she's extremely beautiful.
I wish I had her confidence. I hate mirrors. I don't like staring at myself. Even as a kid, I would usually avoid the mirrors especially in public places.
Do you see yourself physically beautiful in front of a mirror?

Sometimes, I love what I see in the mirror, when I look at myself on it. When that happens, I think positive - I am beautiful, that's what I tell myself.
We are all beautiful, because we are God's children.
But that lady, oh my, she's over confident to be able to tell you that.
Or maybe she's just kidding.

She was really serious and she really sees herself quite attractive though the boys in the office strongly disagree with that. But it's her life! And she sees what she sees. Who could argue with her anyway.

We are the same. I rarely have my photos taken especially when I was a kid. It has changed a bit now that I'm an adult and with a kid.

@LadyDuck I still feel uncomfortable having others take my photos, especially if it's just me.

@toniganzon I still do not like a lot to have my photos taken, when I was a kid I tried to hide every time I noticed a camera shooting.

If I am imagining only, I may see my young self once again, but in general, I am not fond of mirrors no.
There have been many times in life that I saw myself as beautiful yes. But it varies with my thoughts.
It is wonderful to think as that woman does.
I wish you could see you as I see you Toni. So lovely.

Thank you for always making me feel good. I don't see myself as an ugly person, but when it comes to seeing myself as a beautiful woman, physically, it's something that I don't. I even cringe when people tell me I'm beautiful. Sometimes I get embarrassed when being complimented. Over the years, I have learned how to hide my embarrassment but deep inside, I still do feel that.

@TiarasOceanView Yeah, I do the same. I just say thank you. But back when I was young, i don't say thank you at all because back then I thought that saying thank you is equivalent to admitting that indeed I am beautiful.

Sometimes we have to be proud of how we look like or be confident because we should not drag ourselves down especially we see somebody prettier than us.
I have a scar between my eyes and when somebody comments about that, I would always say only I and I alone has that distinctive mark, which makes me unique, if at all.

That's true. It's really important that we feel good about ourselves.
I don't compare myself to others especially when it comes to physical appearance. It's something that I pay no particular attention with. I have great self-confident in facing people with the way I look. I just don't see myself as a beautiful one. And I usually don't like what I see in the mirror.

Lightings can help a lot. They seem to eliminate the imperfections in our face.

@RubyHawk The stores usually have poor lighting. I make sure I have good lighting in my office though.

What makes a person interesting is his personality. Much better than the physical appearance.

Everyones view on beautiful / attractive is different. Someone whos not to you, is to someone else; and vice versa.
You are pretty, imo; and shouldn't dislike mirrors, but i know that feeling as most days i hate looking in them too. Only time i feel beautiful is when my hair is recolored, and straight. As getting hair done seems to boost confidence in most women.

It's the clothes i wear that gives me a lot of confidence and power. I have confidence in my skills and abilities rather than my looks.

I think as we get older, we tend to be less particular with the way we look. Or we just don't care anymore.

I don't dwell on any situation. I am confident when it comes to my skills and abilities but not when it comes to my physical appearance.

@toniganzon Physical appearances changes over a period of time, don't try thinking much about it.
Your inner strength and confidence show on in your work, that in turn shows in your body language.

well dear i am agreed with that person see the beauty is not which you have on your face the beauty is what the love you have for them you are living with means your love ones the more you love and care for your love ones the more beauty you have and we can not defeat the world because world wants more and more so only think about your selfrespect and and about your love ones may be it will be helpful for you

All I know is that I was way handsome when I was young. Well, she's just being herself and people who are bitter in their own lives are ugly in their own right despite of their appearance.
