speeding why don't the police get done for it

why is it that we can get booked for speeding. but an officer of the law can speed for no real reason and get away with it.

Unless the police are responding to a call or chasing someone they get tickets too.

now ive seen that happen heaps of times lol, but i dont know how they can get away with it
