My mates kept pestering about getting a girlfriend but I don't really think I need one. I think I'm okay with the way I am.
I told them, but they said I'm not okay buy they keep pestering me to get one
What do you thinks about this issue?
Do you suggest I get one or not?
If yes, pls yell me how to manage one.

I think you should do what you feel like doing. If you don't want to be in a relationship you should not have to be in one. Why are you being pressured into doing something that you don't feel like doing? What's wrong with people? Tell them to get a life! What if you do listen to them and you get into a relationship and things go wrong. You're not happy because you don't really want this. And you are making someone else unhappy because you really don't want this. Now we have two people unhappy in a situation which you didn't want. Who does that? Who gets into a relationship and they know it's not what they want. Just because their friends say so? If they were really your friends, they would respect your decision not to be in a relationship and love you just the way you are. I love you and respect you for your decision and I don't even know you!

If you're okay not having one then that's all that matters.

I think you would know if you really wanted a girlfriend. If you don't want one, then why would you have one, right? Don't let them push you to do something you don't really want to do. Having a girlfriend is not a novelty, she will have feelings and expect that you do too. If you happen to find someone who you want to be with, then pursue it at that time, until then don't feel pressured!
