Hi. I just got married January this year. For me, i think Communication, Respect and Trust are 3 essential keys to a successful marriage. Also, we need to keep the fire burning, exciting things should be a part of any relationship. How about you? What would be your best advice for a strong, happy and a marriage to last a lifetime? :)

I feel giving each other space in marriage is equally important. Just because you are married doesn't mean you stop having your own lives and likes !! Give each other space and the trust will strengthen :)

Yes you are right. That is something me and my husband discussed last week. We should have a time for ourselves every now and then. :)

I agree communication is the first on my list, without that you don't have much. If you cant trust them you don't have a relationship as far as I'm concerned. And you should always have respect for the other person. I would add letting them have some time to them. Even in the best relationship each person needs their own time. I also would add realistically there will be disagreements, learn to talk it out but wait until both are calm. I have been married for 33 years and still love him as much if not more thru the up and downs. Not always perfect but we work together.
