How many gas cylinder do you use per month

Do you use a gas stove or electric stove or an induction cooker at home? I use the conventional type of gas stove, which required a gas cylinder to pump in gas into the stove in order to light up . A gas cylinder could last up 2 months for me even though I cook 6 days a week. If I use the gas stove to bake cookies or cakes ( I use an old type of steel oven that required gas stove to heat up ), it will use up more gas, maybe could last up to 1.5 month instead. Normally, I would order 2 gas cylinder for each purchase. I hate when I run out of gas, had to wait for 24 hours before I could get another gas cylinder. So, prepare a spare one would be wise. So, how many gas cylinder do you use per month? picture belonged to peachpurple

In summer season I can use more than one month but in winter season it hardly enough for one month. I too try to keep the spare for avoiding the problems when it finished.

@Sreekala yeah, better to keep extra just in case it runs out. Winter month use more because heat up more soups?

Same for me. Usually a cylinder can last two month in my house, unless it's the fasting month, like recently, it last three months. But then we used up an entire cylinder the next Raya month, so it kinda even out. I bought an electric slow cooker for mom, but she didn't feel comfortable using it. With the rise of gas price, I might need to ask her to reconsider, though.

@peachpurple it's Rm30 here. During fasting month, mom only cook once per day. We often eat lightly for sahur, like bread and instant noodle.

@shaqziad1610 How much it cost now? Here RM 28 per gas cylinder, what about your place? Slow cooker best for cooking soup, green beans, early in the morning till evening. Raya fasting month you eat out daily?

@peachpurple Yes, the gas is supplied to all the houses and apartments through underground pipes.

A cylinder for a month and a half I guess, it really depends on the usage though

That is interesting to hear. Our natural gas is provided through a natural gas company and I am not sure how much we use!

I have a gas cylinder for hot water and stove. That one holds 45 Kg of gas and I use 1 in 2 months. Then I have the small ones for the heaters and those are used only in winter and depend on the cold.

We have the two. We need just one cylinder since it a substitute for the electric stove. We use mostly the electric stove.
