A 10 year Old Shirt Is Still Around

I had to laugh when I noticed that when my husband was getting dressed to go get his new driver's license and passport picture, he was wearing the same shirt he wore 10 years ago. I had no idea that the shirt was 10 years old it is still in perfect condition but I had the evidence in front of me, his passport.
I know we all have favorite clothes but do you have anything that is 10 years old that you still consider a go-to piece today? I should have taken a picture of his passport because this time they did not return his old passport to us.
I just realized he wore that shirt to our granddaughter Julias wedding, here it is.

It was obviously a good purchase. I have a shirt that is only a couple years old but I also get compliments every time I wear it.

I think that the shirt has held up very well and still seems current, not out of style.
I wore a green shirt, I called it my Michelle Obama green-remember "that" shade of green, when I had my passport done in 2009. I was so glad to get that photo redone, it was an awful colour!

I think most of my shirts, except the new ones I bought this past year are all ten or more years old. I'm wearing a Super Bowl 31 sweatshirt and we just had Super Bowl 51. So this one is at least 20 years old. The date on it says January 26, 1997.

@RubyHawk I agree, I think that as long as we love the pieces and they have life left in them it is wasteful to just get rid of them. lol Makes me sound a bit of hoarder doesn't it lol

Yes, I still have my old clothes in a good condition that I was wearing until my pregnancy last year. I've just bundled it and put it on top of the shelves in my moms place. I have it, to keep reminding of my old image. Motivation you see .. :-)

Many items we have are in good shape, so we will certainly keep these @Belle Starr It would be easy to add such things to the donate pile, but if a person likes to wear something, why not keep it?

@BelleStarr We are conservative about such things. If something is still useful, why would we replace it.

I don't think I have any clothes that are that old as my weight has changed and so my wardrobe has also changed. But there's my husband I am certain he has clothes that are over 10 years old lol! With the past few months he has ripped out a couple pairs of pants and had to buy some. It happened while he was a work to top it off lol, I'm not laughing at him but with him. He such an amazing person. I am so greatful to God to have him. Today we are going to Applebees to celebrate our 22nd Anniversary that was on July 16th, we had to wait til we had the money to go.
