The Regret After Reading A Book

There was a time like that when I read one interesting book. At the end of that book, the author wrote that the main character was killed, immediately I threw the book away cause there is nothing to read again without that character.
Have you ever experience such? Share your experiences.

You can't just ignore the other characters.Because they also help to bulid up the main charater.

@Oshobu OK.I really haven't read one book that once the main character is gone and the whole novel can't move on or whatever.

I've read a few books where I didn't like the ending, I especially don't like it when one of the good characters is killed.

@Oshobu Me too. I know it's supposed to add to the drama to the story, but when you become attached to a character it's tough to see them leave.

I have read books I liked and books I didn't so much like. I am sad when I want a happy ending and I do not get one at the end.
