I was listening to Cole Porter´s Begin the beguine. It was composed a lot before I was born and I can´t say I´m not old anymore
But some songs, be it for the music, the lyrics or both, will always be with us and mean something to many of us.
After the music ended, I continued with Cole Porter and now I´m on a romantic mood while I mylot. I checked his biography and he died on 1964, over 50 years ago.
Is there any music you love that you think will be there for other people to listen to it after we are gone? Share with me, with us.

I like Cole Porter, too! Johnny Mathis is a good one, his music is timeless. Lately I've been listening to Herb Alpert and Sergio Mendez, they are very good and people will always listen to their music. Of contemporary artists I would say Pink Floyd, Alan Parsons, Rolling Stones, and a few other bands' music will survive for a long time after they are gone.

Cole Porter had some great songs. For some musicians, their music lives on long after they have gone.
