Lost without my cellphone

My sons cellphone broke and we don't have the money to buy another one, so I sent him mine. Feeling a bit cut off from everyone, I'm really missing Whatsapp, the news and weather apps etc. I tried to find someone with a spare phone (who upgraded their contact), but was unsuccessful. Where do all the old cellphones go?

Don't you have a television or a radio or a computer? Actually, if you have a computer you can connect to most anything. We are too dependent on technology these days. Read a book, take a walk, actually talk to real people in person. I think I understand what you're going through but use this as an opportunity for growth and to develop some independence from the technology that enslaves you.

Yeah, I am on my iPad. I think the main thing that bugs me is Whatsapp. The messages I may have been sent. Of course, there's more than likely no personal ones (just the usual neighborhood watch ones). It's the unknown aspect. It's the habit I guess.

I have no idea. Maybe they were thrown up. Sorry you can't afford a new cellphone. Maybe try Safelink to get one for free.

We don't have Safelink here. I will get one, just not today. It's just weird when you are so used to something and then it's not there. I do often wonder what happens to all the old tech gadgets. They're not even biodegradable....

@Rhombus Oh ok. That's a shame. I'm sure you can find some refurbished somewhere.
