Walking at the Park

I went walking at the park between showers. I was afraid the ground would be a muddy mess but it wasn't too bad. I probably wouldn't have gone in all the wet but we had to go to the hospital to pick up a cd for my better halfs doctors appointment and passed the park on the way home. Not many people were out and I didn't meet a soul on the trail. But squirrels were chattering and running about. One scampered along in front of me until he climbed up a tree. I saw a few chicken hawks and crows, It wasn't too hot under the trees and I really enjoyed my walk. My better half hadn't brought a book so we stopped at the book box where he found a mystery by Sandra Brown. He enjoyed sitting under the trees and reading and speaking to people who were walking the paved walking course in the park. I almost never walk there. I like the rugged track through the woods. That was a segment of our day. How was yours?

Any day out in nature is a good day in my book! I'm glad you had a good walk. =) We went to the store to get a few more groceries today.

I've only been to Florida a few times but I felt like I was in an oven everytime I stepped out. Hope it's cooler than I remember.

The cool will probably move out by tomorrow and the heat will come in. It was in the low eighties today.

Oh, you should get out and walk unless it's impossible because of your health. I had to slack off during the winter after surgery but I'm about to get back to full swing.

@RubyHawk Yes, this is an unfinished one, so I'm hoping I can put it in the finished category.

@just4him I hope so too. My grandson just announced he's dropping one of his books he's worked on for months. He said there were too many loose ends to untangle. He has another one about ready and might go back to this one later.

I would love to go to the park for a walk when the sun is not shinning so bright. How's his doctor's appointment?

Your day sounds delightful. I got to the YMCA for water aerobic this morning but then spent the day inside working on my art, I will get out tomorrow, starting with a visit to my eye doctor. I hope the rain is over, I'd like to have a nice walk.

I also walked in the wet today. I thought I was the last person alive to use the term "chicken hawks"

Nope, you aren't the last. You're a close neighbor to Georgia so we speak the same language.

Some men told me that they never read fictions written by women so I am surprised that your husband read Sandra Brown. (Her books are hit and miss with me).

She's not one of his favorites but it was something for him to read while waiting for me. I don't think she was his cup of tea.
