He was on some awards show a while back...so terribly sad to see his condition. He was so talented and I liked a lot of his music.

I did too. I also liked watching his Goodtime Hour show, which I think started out as a summer replacement for The Smothers Brothers Show.

I grew up listening to him and watching his show. I won't comment n his personal life but he was a very talented man. RIP

Alzheimer's is a horrible disease.
Although his album was only released in June, apparently it was recorded between 2012 and 2013. If he was anything like the people I've known who had Alzheimer's, he probably wasn't even aware of that album being released.

@BarBaraPrz I doubt he was aware of anything much in June 2017. Alzheimer's makes people forget everything they ever know. By June I doubt he could even recognise his own family anymore.
