I’ve been feeling constipated lately, and so I visited my doctor. My doctor did not prescribe any medicine for my condition but has asked me to include a lot of leafy vegetables in my diet. Well, I’ve been asked to have Spinach at least 4 days of the week. I know fiber rich vegetables are essential for the constitution of natural bowel movements, but I’m not used to having leafy vegetable much. Since childhood I used to avoid leafy vegetables and that habit kind of stuck.
I find it difficult to eat leafy vegetables, but now since my doctor has asked me to include leafy veggies in my diet; I am going to make a brave attempt and have spinach and other leafy greens during the week. I don’t know how to cook leafy vegetables and so I’ll be buying spinach dishes from nearby restaurants. I do eat lots of fiber-rich fruits and now I guess I have to get used to eating fiber rich leafy vegetables. I hope I am able to eat leafy vegetables at least twice in a week if not 4 times. Wish me luck!
Do you like leafy vegetables?

I like leafe veggies. But what helps me most is corn salad. It has a lot of fiber. Other good thing are oatmeal cookies with some fiber added.

@realityspeaks That would be wonderful as corn has a thick skin that will help.

You don't have to eat that, even if the doctor suggested it. Its your choice. Theres things, at least here, in stores that are just for that. To add fiber to your body because you dont eat enough. Its powder that goes into drinks, with no taste to it. My bf used to use it.

@realityspeaks benefiber.
There's also a thing kinda like it, as its also a powder with no taste to it that gets added to a drink, that helps occasional constipation called miralax that you take once a day for three days. But it has other names, like purelax, etc.

I realize leafy vegetables have a diverse range of healthy benefits, however, I need to force myself when it comes to eating greens.
