Online tutoring compared to an Internet marketing? Any related experiences?

Online teaching and Internet marketing are in demand these days. I'm really curious if you happen to try either one of the two. In my case, I'm more familiar about marketing than teaching. I want to know, which is worth the time and effort. Which is better in terms of compensation? Any related experiences?

I agree with the others that it depends on your skill. I'm an experienced foreign language teacher and this is the first time I'm doing the online teaching. I'm having a hard time preparing for the lessons because there are just some activities that you can easily do in person but can't online. So, it'll take a lot of time and effort just preparing. Because if you don't teach effectively, students will go look for a better one.
As for the compensation, I'd say it is good. But, experience and credentials are factors for a better compensation.
So this is a view from teaching side. I'm pretty sure there are other users willing to share their experiences in marketing.
Why not try both and see which one works for you? :)

@ms_banana. I've tried internet marketing but I'm curious about others who teaches online and earns a lot too.
