Saying Goodbye

Today I saw my counselor for the last time and picked up my severance check from my previous employer. I was able to give them both hugs and thank them for all that they have done for me and tell them I would miss them. I wished my counselor the best as she ended her time as an intern and moves out of state. I thanked my previous employer for all that he had done for me along with his ex-wife and he thanked me for the same. He did not want to lose me but had no choice because of the contract and his ex does not know about the pay he gave me and I will not tell her. I see my new therapist starting next Saturday. I am sad. I am trying to focus on the fact that I am waiting to hear about a potential job and have 2 job interviews next week. Have others experienced things like this all at once and how did they handle it?

Not all at once But i have lost a babysitting job due to kids being put into daycare (which cost more, so makes zero sense) and have went to new therapist.

No that does not make sense costwise. Maybe they had another reason like more structure learning or being around more kids. Many people have probably been through that.

@Courtlynn Wow well in that case it really does not make sense. I have no idea why they did that then. It sounds like they had a good thing with you.

@melindataylor22 No, as I usually had my 2-3 cousins at the same time as babysitting, and all the kids got along great, and the babysitting kids never wanted to leave cause we played and learned everyday.

Thank you and I am excited about the job offer I got today from a previous interview. What kind of volunteer work was it? I have volunteered before too.

@KristenH That sounds like a good volunteer job. I like to do things that help others. I used to walk or volunteer at the Walk for Hunger for many years. I also volunteered at Horizons for Homeless Children at 1 of their day care centers. I also volunteered at the Perkin's School for the Blind. I will be working in an after school program as a group leader or group leader assistant.

@melindataylor22 You're welcome. It was doing admin outpatient rehab at a rehab center. I helped the secretary out and sometimes upstairs when needed. Yeah for the offer! What kind of work?
