i cant go to sleep at night

What are sugestions anyone has to help me go to sleep?

Well it truly depends on the reasons as to why you are unable to sleep at night. I mean if you are hurting or sore then sometimes taking a couple Ibuprophen would do the trick or talk to your doctor about something to help you sleep at night. If you just can not seem to settle your body down enough to sleep sometimes you can find a book or something boring enough that makes you tired and use that. Or as another commenter said watch TV well that is a good suggestion unless you find something you are very interested in watching then it could have the opposite affect. So if you can maybe tell me what is keeping you awake at night I might better suggestions to help you sleep

Watching T.V. keeps me awake sometimes I have a bad habit of finding something really really good on the television and it keeps me awake for the next 2 hours so it does not do anything but keep me up longer haha

@TheInvisibleMan Well I am not saying that it does not come for me. I did not write this article lol but I will be the 1st to admit that sometimes it is very hard for me to fall asleep at night depending on the circumstances but I promise you that TV is not my 1st go to idea on how to fall asleep. As I mentioned in another comment tho I am not b any means saying that yur idea is a bad idea I know a lot of people that it works for but I know just as many that it has the opposite affect. If I am going to use the TV I have to be sure and find something very very boring that will bore me to sleep

Try lavender on your pillow and avoiding television and computers for at least one hour before trying to sleep.

Welcome to myLot. There are alot of things you can do if you can't sleep. You can either catch up with your work/study; watch TV/drama; play games online/iPad; or you can just laying there thinking about things until you finally sleep without knowing..

Had you tried counting sheep when you can't fall asleep?My mom used to tell me before!Funny but it someway it is effective!Try it my friend!

The light from TV, computer monitors, or phone screens actually keeps us awake longer and prevents us from falling into our deepest sleep, so though many use TV to fall asleep, it's really not good in the long run. I use an app called White Noise that has ambient noise like rain or crickets or streams flowing. You can mix them up to create your own and download user created sounds in their market companion app. It's the best one that works for me out of the various ones I've tried. I start the app, then turn the light off on my phone or put it face down so it can't disturb my sleep. It is probably also a good idea to talk to a doctor! There could be a physical reason why you're not falling asleep. Good luck in your quest for z's!
