When you have time off work, what is your favorite thing to do? Do you travel to another country? Do you stay close to home and just rest and relax?
No matter where you live, there are usually interesting things to do, when you don’t have to go to work.
At your job, do you get a week’s vacation or two or three weeks per year?
I have traveled quite a bit. I’ve been to about 25 different countries, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Liechtenstein, in Europe and the Far East. (Guam, Japan) several islands in the Caribbean, and I’ve also been to 44 different U.S. states, including Alaska and Hawaii.
I have been to the Grand Canyon, Niagara Falls, Lake Tahoe, Las Vegas, the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee, several tourist areas in Florida, New York City, Virginia Beach, San Francisco, the Badlands in South Dakota, to name a few.
I learned to snow ski in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and I learned to water ski in the East China Sea, when I lived in Okinawa.
Tell me about your adventures. Or some place that you would really like to go.
I still have a long list of places that I would like to visit, but will probably never go, such as Australia.

Wow you certainly are lucky to have been to so many different places. My traveling is very limited but my favorite vacation was a long time ago when I spent a week in Bermuda.

I also spent a week in Bermuda. It was a really nice vacation. I loved seeing the Police in Bermuda shorts. The atmosphere in Bermuda is VERY British, too. Our resort hotel was excellent.
Yes, it has been nice for me to be able to travel to so many different places. The nice part is that most of my trips were FREE, all-expenses paid by the company I worked for. I actually EARNED the trips with my sales and recruiting efforts.

Yes, vacations are much more fun when you share them with friends. ON these FREE trips I earned, there were lots of others, friends from my sales teams and we always had a blast. My husband traveled with me and sometimes I was able to take other family members on the trips. I took my brother and his wife to Spain and to St.Thomas. I took my sons to Jamaica and on a cruise.

My days of foreign travel are likely over for various reasons. The only such travel I would consider is Australia. It's road trips in America these days for me.

I'm thinking the same thing. I am planning a couple "road trips" for this FALL. I want to go to West Virginia, in particular, to visit family and visit my home town where I was born and went to school.

Actually, there are many countries that I have not visited, but the travelling that I have done has been quite a treat. I'm so glad that I had the opportunity to EARN free trips and to actually go on the trips.

@dollaboy Well, now I'm retired from that job and I can't earn any more FREE trips. I'm also a lot older now and airports are so hectic nowadays. So, any travelling that I do will close to home. I do plan to go to Virginia Beach in October. We have a condo there.

I haven't yet had my favorite vacation. But my dream vacation is the Maldives. How nice would it be to be there? Hehe
