First doctor's appointment with insurance!

My doctor is female, and I'm not a blonde, but you get the idea.

I've been without insurance for several years now. My prescriptions expired and the doctor wouldn't renew them without seeing me - except I couldn't afford to go without insurance. I had prescription coverage, but no medical coverage. As of August 1, that has changed. My Medicare insurance started on July 1 and my supplemental coverage started August 1. So, today, I'll be going to see my doctor!! Hurrah!! I asked my daughter if there was any way she could come home early to take me, but because she had just gotten the raise on Friday, it really wasn't a good idea for her to take off like that. I had other arrangements already, but still asked her. Instead, I took my friend to the train station so he could go to work and I could use his car to go to my appointment. I'll pick him up after work tonight. It works out perfectly! I'll be getting my blood work done today to see just how much my numbers have changed over the past four years. I'm actually looking forward to keeping track again.

It's nice that you're now able to go see your doctor and that your medicare went through and everything. That is one less thing for you to worry about.

Definitely! I've been on and off for so long (off more than on) that I almost got used to never going. But, once I felt better, I didn't like not feeling good again. I'm happy.

I'm glad your able to attend to your health again. Tragic that you had to be without care for that long. Good luck with your future care!

Thanks. I'm happy to be back on course again. I just don't understand how those in charge can't understand that it is cheaper to deal with healthy people than it is to try to cure people after they're ill. Maintenance is so much more affordable than diagnosis and treatment.

It went well. I had lost weight and my blood pressure was normal. I got my prescriptions renewed and have to go back for my blood work and other long ignored tests.

That's really good that you are able to go to your doctor because of the Medicare insurance. A person who chooses to get enrolled under the required Medicare insurance plan surely gets numerous benefits from it. Even I am now thinking to buy a suitable Medicare insurance so that I could enjoy the benefit of maximum coverage from it. My mom is referring me to have a word with a genuine agency through this site so that I can get a clear view of choosing the best Medicare supplement plan. Hope so that all goes really well.
