He's been failing leadership tests from the day he took office but this past weekend he failed the biggest of them all. He showed the world he's unable to be the "Consoler-In-Chief", a role every POTUS has had to take on at least once in their Presidencies, usually more than once. We can argue until we're all blue in the face whether Donald is the one to blame for the increase in hate groups, or at least the increase in the openness of their members, but there's no argument whatsoever, no need for debate that the so-called President of the United States took 48 hours to condemn white supremacist and alt-right groups and Nazis following the horrific events in Charlottesville, VA. Even then his condemnation was tepid at best and seemed to be scripted for him rather than coming from the heart I don't think he possesses.
Every day I get more disgusted and more embarrassed by the actions of this illegitimate President. He's unfit for office on so many levels and it's time for him to go. I hope his supporters understand now what Hillary was referring to when she spoke of "deplorables". Anyone who won't denounce the KKK and Nazis and who won't make it crystal clear he doesn't want their support is as deplorable and irredeemable as it gets.

As they taught me in the Marines. We are only as good as our leaders and we seem to be screwed.

Have you been watching this today? I can't believe it but I'm still able to be shocked by this monster! It's now almost 5:30 on the east coast and Trump just had a press conference in which he totally melted down and went back to the "many sides" being to blame, actually said the alt-right were "victims" AND to add icing to this $hit cake David Duke tweeted his thanks. Chuck Todd just said he's honestly shaken. I'm heartsick and so ashamed of my country right now. WTF will we ever do, how will we survive this fake Presidency?

@crossbones27 My dad and my father-in-law, both deceased, were WWII veterans and I can't imagine how it would hit them to know we now have a so-called POTUS who thinks some Nazis are "very fine people". It's really hard for me to pick what breaks my heart the most but that's right up there.
HOW did this happen???

@anniepa Indeed, and find it really sad how many of my former military friends do not even care. Just keep defending his every move and go look how well the stock market is doing, look how good the economy is doing.
Even though we all know this is Obama's economy for another month or two. Also what ever happened, to the point, that all the jobs created are low paying, no one can afford to live off those type of jobs and all those people who refuse to join the workforce because it is so pathetic in wages out there?
Crickets on that, or maybe their voice boxes are just sore from screaming at the top of their longs about that for the past 6 or 7 years before Trump.

President Trump spoke out on Saturday the first time about what was happening in Charlottseville, While it was still going on...
we're closely following the terrible events unfolding in Charlottesville, Va.. We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence on many sides, on many sides. It's been going on for a long time in our country. Not Donald Trump, not Barack Obama. This has been going on for a long, long time. It has no place in America. What is vital now is a swift restoration of law and order and the protection of innocent lives. No citizen should ever fear for their safety and security in our society. And no child should ever be afraid to go outside and play or be with their parents and have a good time.
It was not 48 Hours it was while it was still unfolding.... He was also in contact with the Governor of Va.. as it was going on. and we agree that the hate and the division must stop, and must stop right now. We have to come together as Americans with love for our nation and true -- really, I say this so strongly, true affection for each other.
You are so blinded by your own hate..That you can not see that it is people like you and the media that is fueling the divide in this country..Hate will never bring the end to Hate....and just like our President said We have to come together as Americans with love for our nation and true -- really, I say this so strongly, true affection for each other.
You are failing to see the truth that their was Hate on both sides in charlotesville..The problem was not one sided...
Because of your own hate Our President will never say or do anything that will be good enough for you..You will always find fault..... Your hate will never let you come together as a American to help put a stop to all Hate..You make excuses and try to justify the Hate on one side instead of trying to put a stop to it all....
I for one am Glad that we finally have a President willing to stand up to all the Hate, not just one side of it...May God keep Blessing Our President, and keep giving him the strength to keep doing what is right for the American People, All the American People not just some of them...May God always protect Him and his family from the Evil that surrounds him...I also pray that God keeps giving him the wisdom to make the right decisions I Pray in Jesus Name....

You're so totally blinded by your own bigotry and racism you can't see that there's no equivalency between the white supremacists, alt-right, KKK, neo-Nazis, etc. whose goal it is to rid America of anyone who isn't white and supposedly "Christian" and those who are speaking out and protesting against them. You, like your Donald, think these "others" should just accept that some people won't accept them no matter what.
I'm not a hater, I could count the people I've been able to honestly say I "hated" on one hand and they've been limited to the Bin Laden, Hussein type. I hate Donald Trump because he's a horrible person who bullies and mistreats anyone who crosses him. He's a crook but his most rabid cultists don't see it it because they're so turned on by his bigotry.

@dlr297 No, if there's one thing I'm NOT it's a bigot. The only people I can't tolerate are the bigots - the racists, the Islamaphobes, the anti-SEmites, the xenophobes, the homophobes and whatever other deplorable hate group I'm forgetting.
Your own personal hatred and bigotry makes it easy for you to justify what they do and put the blame, or at least part of it, on those who are in most cases just defending themselves or standing up for themselves. You think the targets of all those groups I mentioned above should simply accept whatever is thrown at them. You're wrong.

@anniepa If the ones protesting against them are using Hate and violence to do it...That makes them no better than the ones they are protesting.....
People are not going to accept everything all the time....People are different...
Just look at you.....No matter what you will never accept Our President Donald Trump....
Here in America everyone has freedom of speech....That freedom was given everyone...Not just the people that you agree with....When you try to shut down one group because you do not like what they are saying you are stepping on the constitution..All Americans have the right and freedom to protest, and assemble as long as it is peaceful....
The line is drawn when violence is used....Then all the individuals involved should be arrested, charged, and go to jail.....that goes for fighting, destroying property, burning things, looting, and attacking police....
Hate will never stop Hate....
Bigotry definition, stubborn and complete intolerance of any creed, belief, or opinion that differs from one's own.
You are just as big a bigot in your thinking as everyone else is..
When you start taking freedoms away from one group because you disagree with them..what is going to happen when those same freedoms are taken away from everyone.....

That first speech made me me shake my head - it was a big fat F . . . "many sides" . For someone with such a big mouth with just about everything else, he sure didn't condemn who he should have condemned by name . . . and what was all that other stuff he said just to pat himself on the shoulder. And this next speech, yes, it comes 48 hours too late as the potential impact is now gone . . . it's as if someone told him he needed to do a do-over .

The "many sides" parts of his first statement were adlibbed, that was where he went off script. He obviously didn't say nearly enough to begin with but the "many side, many sides" was indefensible.
I'm ashamed that there's ONE American who would defend this racist thug but in defense of the many good and decent Americans who never would I have to say "most Americans" know what he is and don't like it one bit.
