I want to discuss here that " how to fight depression?". Well what I want to ask specifically is your experience not the bookish thing but want to know whether you have suffered from depression at any stage? if yes then how you fought with it? this question in not about very sever but you can share your daily or common depression and how you get rid of it....you all are welcome for discussion

Yes I fight it on a daily basis. By exercising and having some contact on here with others it seems to help it. It is a conscience effort. Welcome to myLot.

@teatree Yes I do have that symptom and I find the only way is to keep as busy as I can and to try to distract myself as much as possible. Sometimes medicine is needed. But it is not for everyone.

Yes. Been through depression. And still battling it until now. There are still times I cut myself at night. And these are scars I'm never proud of wearing. I hide them against my wristwatch and bracelets. I try convincing myself not to make another line after the other. And everyday, I'm trying to find a way to hold on. I talked about this to others, but they hated how dramatic I was. They called me dramatic and that it's unhealthy to talk over things over and over again. So I stopped opening up to people I called my friends. But there's this one good friend who proved there's still good people who exist. I guess she's getting tired of how unstable I was, I'm getting afraid at times to tell her I'm feeling it again. And all the negative thoughts I have, but everytime I open up to her, she assures me it's fine to speak up. She helps me by being my lifeline. And I asked her why she understood me well. Told me she feels the same. And is also going through the same thing with me.
