Some people are ridiculous. They sit on their emails, wait for deadlines, and then they send the item to you near the deadline and expect this to be done. This is pretty ridiculous. I mean you cannot give me excuses such as ' I never read the email '. This is not professional at all.

My emails are the first things I check every morning. People are so unprofessional.

@holdoors The email is just another form of mail, like people get the regular mail from their mail boxes, they must read their emails.

I like to be a bit ahead of deadlines. I'm going to turn in some progress notes today that are due next Tuesday. Like Anna (@LadyDuck), I check my home email first thing.

@TheHorse It's better to check that there is nothing that demands immediate attention in the mail. You never know.

@TheHorse I sometimes do the same if I need to remember a specific date or event.

@LadyDuck I actually send email reminders to myself, as I check my email several times a day.

@holdoors ..I suggest that you write the date and time you received her report then make your work done on time for now..Then inform her that reports should be with you at least a week early since you also need to check and make something too

I know what you mean. I do get that before when I was still working in an office. It was such a pain. It's like they don't want you to leave the office.. that is the reason why I learned how to leave the office discreetly.

They need a deadline to give the job to someone else with a reasonable time frame or do it themselves.
