CONCLUSION
Of course, you have to exert more effort when selling your articles. All sites mentioned above do not promise you when will your content going to sell. Here are few tips to keep in mind when signing up to any of the sites mentioned.
1. Create a short but catchy biography
Biography helps you build a reputation. It is best to keep it short and straight to the point. Long biography makes the buyers drive away from your account. Include your biography any areas of expertise and highlight your writing skills.
2. Complete your profile information
3. Watch up the quality and length of your article
Generally, articles that would sell compose of more than 500 words. I suggest you find a good length that will fit to what you are writing about on which you can engage your readers.
4. Give a reasonable price
If you are a new content seller, it is best not to stick for a low and high price. Always go for a moderate price.
5. Enjoy what you are writing about
The more you enjoy writing, the greater chance you will make high-quality articles.
FINAL WORDS
Establishing a healthy career online takes few months or even years. So don`t give up!

@hereandthere Just upload the articles you wish to sell. In my case, I only sell my recycled and rejected articles to these sites. Some sites provide you the freedom to sell your articles (your choice topic). However, there are other sites that require your article to pass through the editor`s standards but don`t worry, I think everyone here can do it so long as you read first their rules and guidelines. In articlesale, once you upload your articles for sale, it is already for sale. The site has no editors and it lacks maintenance so there are a lot of buyers scamming there. I advise you to go for freelance writing jobs. If you have recycled articles to sell, it is best to go to constant-content. They may have stricter rules but you can guarantee your security and find potential buyers there.

I had tried some; earned a little from some of it and got frustrated from some who failed to pay! There are also scammers everywhere.

I agree. When I first tried working online (that was two years ago), I have a zero knowledge about scammers. Until I experienced meeting some of those kinds of people. It is really annoying and you can never get rid scammers who are there to make you fool. Therefore, we have to be very careful.
