Keto or Low Carb Diet

Hey ya'll I've been officially doing this low carb diet, but haven't been feeling too well. I am on my second week, so it's been about a week and a half. My energy level is so low and I am sleeping so much. I'm a person who rarely sleeps so this is super unusual. Not to mention my depression has been worse, stress, and no cycle for a little over a month in a half. I don't feel I am doing well. Please tell me that I'm doing everything ok. If I keep feeling like this going into week three then I may have to find another alternative. My goal is to lose weight and get fit to be an k-9 search and rescue but everything seems to get in my way. So I want to try something that will help me kick fat off quickly so I can exercise better.

I am very late to this discussion. Low carbs?? I realize that is popular. Carbs are the fuel that keep your heart etc. going along in a healthy way. I don't know you and don't how much weight you want to lose- maybe you have by now. I don't know what you ordinarly eat. I do know that my husband and I changed our diet habits- by diet I mean what we eat. We have had a different life style for over a year now and we're still here. I've lost over 45 pounds- slow but it means I am healthier and have less fat on my joints. We turned Vegan/vegetarian. Lots of carbs for us BUT those carbs are whole grain good for us carbs not white processed garbage. Lots of fruits and vegies. Colorful plates for sure. I wish you well as you try to better yourself.

when you read up on keto or low carb diet, did they mention these effects?

It's so funny I just learned about the Keto diet last week from one of my co-workers. She explained to me that this has been the only diet to actually help her lose weight without cutting all the tasty foods from your diet. I thought about giving it a try but as of right now I am not in full motivation mode.

I think if you eat low carbs you should pair it with exercise. Because exercise is good in our body
