The late great Sir Alfred Hitchcock (1899-1980) who directed his best horror movie "The Birds" in 1963 would be amazed if he knew that the British Broadcasting Company (BBC) and Heyday Productions will be working together to make a television series of "The Birds" movie.
"The Birds" is based on a novella written by Daphne du Maurier. The flying animals attack human beings with their talons and beaks to rub them out.
Just call them rogue birds or the Batman villain The Penguin if he lost his mind and became a serial killer.
David Heyman who is the producer of the "Harry Potter" movies who is also the owner of Heyday Productions.
Conor McPherson who is fan of "The Birds" movie will write the story. However which is a good thing, the television series will not be a carbon copy of the Hitchcock directed movie but more like the novella since I do think that the powers that be at the BBC will allow too much gore that the movie showed when it was released.
"The Birds" will make "War For The Planet Of The Apes" look like a game of patty cake by comparison.
It brings up a funny question. Would you have a bird peck you to death or a have an ape body slam you to death?
The answer is give me the bird since getting pecked to my demise is better than getting body slammed by my "ancestors:.

I did see the reruns of the movie "The Birds" on BBC America recently and it is even scarier than seeing the character deaths on the "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" reruns on Me Television.
