Booklovers or Fakers?

I know books have been a gateaway throughout time about science, history, learning, explanations, fantasy, exploring people's minds and imagination. But nowadays that has changed in my opinion. I see people bragging about their books, taking photos, exposing themselves as if they were liberating some castle. I think people now are more into faking these ideas and showing off to others. What do you think?

I have not thought about it but I think it may be true because of our technologically advanced, fast paced, instant gratification, selfie society and world.

For me just like with anything else, it really depends on who the person is and is it for $$, Fortune, Fame, etc. I know it is good to help promote something when it is Brand new, but to continue do so all the time it depends on the way a person is doing it, as to where I would feel it is right or wrong.

Yeah but they still fake, i mean, to behave like someone else just for the sake of having a little piece of attention(since books are very trendy these days) its too much don't you think?

I agree, theses days it's the number of talk shows they appear on not the substance of their writings. I always wondered how James Patterson writes so many books! I still enjoy the classics.

Yeah i agree about James. But normally the quality of readers are changing the quality of writers too.

There are some books that can be shocking . Literature is always chasing strong ideas to put them into words for much larger sellings and profits . I really don ' t think they mind the impact they can have on the young populations . What about you ? Are you a strong reader of novels and stories ?
