Deepens the parents.i let my son play some internet games but under my supervision and not for long time.I prefer he plays computer games (not on line). The more of them i download ,so i choose what is for him age(he is 11).There are many sites with educational games that gives the children the opportunity to play and also learn something.

That's good if you have done it. I agree that many games with educational inside. The kids need it. And you have done the great job. But, since he grow older and older, I think you should teach him how to choose the good internet games.. Thanks for sharing it. I really appreciate it.

it actually depends on individual upbringing and enviroment they are into. internet games are good , no doubt, for kids as this not only sharpens their brians but also make them prompt, wise, smart and techo savvy. having said this, i think, children should be allowed to visit certain sites only by restricting adult sites and the guardians should vsit them often while they are on net and lastly they should be allowed net for only a few hours in the whole day. the most important drawback of internet is , it's addictive and health damaging and no. 1 cause of obesity in children. by restricting time, i guess they would have a fair chance to play or do physical activity as often as they can.
so, i feel, parents have to set a proper guidelines o their kids before actually giving them the iberty to play internet games.

i totally agree with you. It can be so addictive that it would destroy the childs performance in school

I don't think it's good for kids. I prefer my kids play with their good friends, but not online.

Yup. It's true. It depends on the parents who supervises the children. But, do the parents always have time to supervise them? I mean, the education about the game is more good than the supervising idea..

my son is a whiz when it comes to finding games online. But there has to be a balance. He only gets an hr everyday. If he misbehaves, doesnt do his school work, it no computer for a week.

So, we must educate the kid about the internet games, which one that they should enjoy most, how long they could play and many things... But, I think we can't have enough time to watch them playing the internet games..
