I am working in the Court, where every Wednesday is a divorce day, and you will find a long-listed number of all ages coming for divorce. I am not a Judge but I am the one who prepares the cases before they go into Chambers / Courts. So at some stage, I asked them, why are they making the decision of divorce, and the answer that I am getting is that "I regret I have married to a person I don't love". So now please make me understand, is it possible to marry someone you don't love???????

Maybe some people thought they were in love but after living with their partner for any amount of time they have decided they really didn't love that person, or they've fallen out of love for some reason. Others may feel pressure to get married so they do, then regret it afterwards. There are probably many reasons why people marry, although I think that love would be the most popular reason. Escaping from an unhappy home life could be another reason, or looking for security. These people don't realize their mistake until later on. So yes, I think it's possible to marry someone you don't love. Are they mostly very young people?

@abcdmm LOL Glad to hear that you're still in love so you won't be one of your own cases anytime soon.

It differs, some are just middle age while some are still young, but even the old ones are rare. I am always surprised but thank God that I still love my partner. haaaa

Thank you, but though I like and enjoy my work, sometimes it breaks my heart to listen to different disputes taking place between people. But all in all, it is really interesting and I learn every moment.

They got married when they thought they loved each other. In the the course of their married life they come to know of each other's defects and begin to hate each other.

But for every couple, there is always something which is not appreciable and that doesn't mean we ought to file for divorce.

I think is some culture, parents are the one who will give you a husband or a wife, wealthy enough to take the generations to come.

I think they should reverse things. You should have a divorce party (that's when you need things) and marriage should involve the long drawn out court case. It's too easy to get married.

Maybe there's one word at the end of that answer - anymore.
