New hobby for me

Oh my I like these red sunflowers. A few grew red; some popped up dark orange and kind of brown.
This experiment has led me to look on line to check out other sunflower blooms. I knew about the Teddy Bear sunflower variety- lush, petable blooms. I must grow more of them. Then I spotted lemon yellow sunflower blooms. Hmmm. Maybe see if the Burpee folks have those seeds in their catalog and try to grow some next summer? I saw mention of a purple sunflower but have not found a photo. That also got my brain whirling.
My summer is typically hot. Sunflowers are common as fleas here. So here comes my new hobby: grow exotic varieties of them! Fun and easy as popping seeds in the ground and remembering to water and water and water.

When I first glanced at your title I thought it said, "New hubby for me." What? Then I looked again and noticed it was "hObby." I'm glad you have a new hobby of growing exotic varieties of sunflowers and not collecting exotic husbands!

@RichardMeister I'm glad you took your equinox glasses off. I've been hooked for over 35 years and intend to stay that way. Me with an exotic Mister? Love it.

These are awesome, congrats. I tried to grow some herbs in a greenhouse recently and that didn't go to plan.... I need some of your tips!
I've started a few hobbies recently as I'm getting older, a bit of canvas painting which is proving very nice and a game or 2 of online poker which is taking me back to my younger playing days! Hobbies are awesome!

Its good to hear from you @ryanwardyhere Good to hear from you. My best tip: find out what is easy to grow in your area. What grows like a weed there?
