Solar Eclipse 2017 - Did you watch?

United States

As most anyone knows today was a solar eclipse and most of the United States was able to see some portion of it. Where I live we could see 90% of it. It did get somewhat darker but not anywhere near like it did for those I seen taking videos where it was 100%. However I did hear the roosters since there are many in my neighborhood and we did hear bugs but we live near a pond and you can usually hear them a tad at any point in the day. It was still pretty awesome. From what I read there will be another in 2024 and for that if it's possible, I may drive to experience one at 100%. Everyone I've talked to that experienced it at 100% said it was worth the drive for them. So did you watch the eclipse or did you stay inside?

Here is my post.

Nice. They said it would be around 80 percent visible here but it was so cloudy wecouldnt see anything. Which was a bummer.

That sucks. There were some clouds here but not many. We did have a slight chance of rain but there was no rain either.

@PrettiMamita I did look at the sun, but didn't take photos or a video of this eclipse.

It was hard to take pictures or video unless you had a filter for it. My mom's friend took some really good ones and I'm assuming through her welder's lens.
