Is obesity a kind of illness?

Nowadays, there are more and more people struggling with obesity. Obesity will bring people lots of healthy peoblem, however, I believe fatness is kind of symptom rather than illness. It warns people to live in a healthier way. I hear that there are many ways to lose weight, such as exercise, drink green tea(seems to be useful cos people drink green tea everyday around me are slim), controlling their diet(especially half sweet and half fat).

I think being healthy is not about being fat or slim because there are fat people who is healthy and there are slim but weak. Therefore, Obesity is somehow is the outcome effect of your body cycle from having mind sickness because it all started of being stressed, emotional problems or just simply being careless.

But isn't obesity and being fat two different things in that obesity is a lot more serious than being fat?

It can either be the two. There was an actress here in my country before that gained weight too quickly. She didn't eat much. She had a medical condition wherein she could gain weight pretty quickly without eating too much. She just ate enough and she even dieted. But when she went on a diet, she became more ill and then it was then they discovered that she had that medical condition of just gaining more and more weight.

Being fat is when someone weighs too much for their height and body type. If you take in more calories than you need you are going to store fat. People who do this on an everyday basis with no self control will eventually become obese and endanger their health. It is a mental kind of illness in some ways because people may eat to relieve stress, because they are depressed, lack self confidence, or just substitute food for comfort. Obesity itself can lead to many diseases like high cholesterol, high blood pressure or diabetes type 2. These are warning signs to stop and eat healthier.
