I know it would be nice to have cable but it is added expenses for the family. There are a lot of choices for good shows when you have cable. Can you afford a cable tv?

My brother-in-law have a cable installed on the TV at the dining room where father-in-law sits the whole day. It is actually a loadable cable. When the load you paid is consumed for a month, you have the option to have it again or not. It's only for 500 pesos or $10. But at our bedroom, I didn't had it with an extension. That way,I can watch my teleserye or soaps at night when I come home from work.

@averygirl72 No, I don't like to, because my hubby would be competing with me for the remote. At least, he watches the soaps with no complaint because he has no choice when he is trying to catch some sleep already.

@averygirl72 you cant make money from it, I prefer to be in the computer, even the kids now watch movies in the pc unlike when they were young, non-stop cartoons, my wife and mother watches channel 2, I only cable to watch history, ci, natgeo, etc...channels once in a while.

Yes, we have cable. For three of four rooms. But even if we didn't pay for cable - we'd still have cable because we get basic cable thru our rent which is about 25 channels.

@averygirl72 yes. Cable here isn't that exspensive.. depends on what package you get. We get hundreds of channels both regular and HD, and the hbo movie channels, for only $60ish a month. Get every channel we need.

I think in many ciies, the cable TV is quite common. And it is not expensive and you can watch more channels and they are all very clear.

We have satellite here. It's included in our rent, which is nice. I'll admit though that it can definitely get expensive.

Here we have none of that as we are in an area that does not work with any of those mentioned. So its the old fashioned Channels and you get to see what you get to see. Most time I am not even watching the Television. It has to be a very good film for me to watch it.

Satellite here too! Chosen the cheapest package, I really don't want to spend that much on TV as I currently watch most of the shows I'm interested to see on my laptop and it's quite enough for me. My family does this as well so the Satellite works just fine for us.. ;)

We have cable and its just the basic package and we pay about $100.00 a month for it. Its cheaper to just keep the internet and Netflix than it is cable which is nice to have but really not worth so much money. We aren't sure but we might actually wait until our contract is up and then just disconnect it we honestly don't even watch enough television to justify paying so much money.
