My local foods can be very delicious and irresisible. As a typical Calabar Lady I cook mostly my local delicacies at home.I think cooking is one of my favourite hobbies.I can cook all day.
My favourite amongst all our native foods is the ever faithful and forever popular Afang soup.I could eat it everyday without being tired. It one food that could be used to capture the heart of a suitor, welcome visitors, prepared for all events and ceremonies and could be packaged as gifts for friends, family and in-laws.
Please any time you're in Nigeria, request for the heavenly afang soup and testify thereafter.
What's your own best native food?

That dish looks very good. Here there are too many to count. I love comfort food and some of my favorites are fried chicken with potato salad and meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy.

@augusta123 You are not the only one. I am thinking that I need to take some chicken out of the freezer to fry some tomorrow.

@augusta123 Very interesting... I have never heard of it before... How do you eat it? As is, with rice, or bread?

Sounds like you have a good favorite. Mine is simple, a pot of well seasoned pinto beans and buttered bread. It has always been my favorite combo.

We have lots of native dishes but one of my favorite is "Adobo". This is one of the easiest dish to cook plus it is versitile. You can cook any type of meat. Chicken, beef , pork, fish, you name it,, you can cook it that way. Even processed food like hotdog.
