I was when my son was little but returned to work when he started school. I found it was a full time job in itself but I did feel cut off from the world, where was my computer then when I needed it!

No, I worked part-time, but was there when they were home, single-mum at the time! Did not use the computor in those days, (did not even know how to turn it on) but my children soon showed me, and now I can't stop! lol

I don't think I ever can. I admire those stay home moms.. I don't want to feel detached from the rest of the world.

I just recently retired from work in the office. I have decided to keep house for the family after twenty-seven years in the government service and I am happy to become a stay at home mum and feel the difference of office and householdwork.

Jeepers, twenty-seven years, you have definately earnt a rest, although saying that looking after the house and family can still be quite demanding. Hope you're enjoying your days. Thanks for responding have a great day!

Yes, I stay at home with my parents, because I'm still a student and I don't earn money, so I can't live alone.

I guess we do what we feel is right at the time, we all have different needs, wants, lives, you just have to do what works for you at the time, was in that dilemma myself. Good luck to you!

I'm not a stay at home mom. I often wonder what it would be like, but I don't think I could do it. I need that adult communication.

Well you shouldn't feel bad or guilty for not being one, everyone has to do what works for them, I did feel cut off from civilisation and felt like i didn't have anything worthy of talking about, lol

I'm a stay at home mom to my 10 month old daughter. I absolutely love it, but some days it's frustrating not having a decent adult conversation. I wouldn't change it though. Ideally I'd like to stay home with her until she's schoolaged - finances permitting.

Hi merry, it's hard to know what to do, I started P/T then F/T, felt guilty, went back to P/T. Not so bad now that he's older, going through that phase of 'don't want you around', won't let me meet him from school, must be cramping his style, lol.

I'm a stay at home dad. Actually I'm working from home so I can stay at home and take care of my daughter. If you wanna know more, just read the below. ______________________________________________________________________________________ Hi, I've been in Internet Business for some years now. I have found several opportunities which do pay money. Most of them cost money, but there are also some FREE ones. Actually I just found a GREAT opportunity which is absolutely FREE! I really and warmly recommend you to go to the below website and read it through and download the small conference software (approx. 300kB) and enter the conference room for a non-obligation presentation. But what we're doing is giving you money for FREE! This opportunity is absolutely FREE - now and forever! You have to be prepared to spend between 30-60 minutes per week attending online seminars with NO OBLIGATION TO BUY ANYTHING! Build your downline (means give your friends FREE money) and make money sooner through a forced matrix. A forced matrix means that you will help your downline building their organization at the same time you build your own! So, hurry up my friend! We're only two days old and around 700 members... This business is available WORLDWIDE!!! For FREE!!! You do have to be 18 years old. http://tinyurl.com/ymvkka See you soon! P.S. Join my newsletter with FREE information about paying business opportunities. Just visit http://www.manymoney.org/capt_001.htm and fill out the form.

I've been a stay at home mom ever since my daughter was born. I adore it! I plan on homeschooling our kids, too - so I'll be "stuck" at home for a looooooooooong time. :) We make sure to go on playdates a lot and get out of the house often!!

Homeschooling, good on you! Hard decision to make, you'd have to be very committed for that. That was my first thought about the interaction for the child as i perceive thats just as important. I'm lost now in Mathematics homework, not my strong point, lol!
