Life's Important Contemplations

With all of the crazy things going on in the world today--wars, pretentious politics, angry rhetoric, eclipses, catastrophic hurricanes, it really got me thinking about the important things in life, the things that matter most to us. As I sat here contemplating life, something odd struck me, a question that needs answering before I exit this planet someday.
If you choke a Smurf, what color does he turn?
Anybody know? I really want to get to the bottom of this.

@DianneN Our faces will turn red first, then go pale, and then turn blue from lack of oxygen. I'm talking about choking, not tequila! haha
Hmmm...I'm not sure what color I turn after drinking tequila. Maybe I turn orange, as in the orange prison jumpsuit I'll be wearing when the cops haul me off to jail public intoxication!

@DianneN It's always nice to have connections with lawyers!
And when you're watching my face to see what color it turns, make sure you record it on video so we can post it all over social media for the world to see. Because I would just love that! haha

@moffittjc Well, you can obviously tell I'm not into smurfs or the color purple. Does you face turn purple when you are choked? Does it turn purple after a tequila?

I'm trying to remember what colour our smurfs turned. We choked them and annihilated them before anyone in North America knew what a smurf was.....

If you look at Sabrina's comment below, she found the answer for us! Pretty hilarious!

@Morleyhunt Wow, that's going way back in time! I can't believe they were around back in the late 70s!

@moffittjc my children had two Smurfs back in 1978. I think they disappeared in a move in 1980. They came to North America in 1981.

The Smurfs were a popular cartoon show many years ago. The Smufs were little blue creatures. When you choke someone, they turn blue. But if a Smurf is already blue, what color does he/she turn when you choke them?

@moffittjc If he's blue through and through, he'll stay blue. If his blueness is only superficial, he'll adopt the colour of your innards which isn't very attractive I'm afraid.

@MALUSE No telling what color their innards were! That would be pretty gross is their innards caused them to change a weird color like green or orange of something!

The Smurfs were BLUE?? We used to watch it on the black and white telly upstairs whilst Mumsy cleaned and tidied downstairs. It always surprises me that I remember watching programmes in colour as we didn't have a colour tellybox until I was ten. :)

@MarymargII I believe so, according to an actual episode in which they addressed this issue.

@moffittjc So you are not curious to know more. I like to search to see what comes up. I even found images of the "purple Smurf".

Oh boy, yeah, that is a tough one. Now, allow me to seriously contemplate this...Well...why would you want to choke a Smurf? Like, what did it ever do to you? Did you trip over one going down the stairs? Lmao! Uh, maybe it would go a delightful shade of orange?

@bluesa If the Smurfs would leave me alone and quit darting in and out around my feet, I wouldn't have to get vicious and squash them! I'm a reasonable guy...if they leave me alone, I'll leave them alone! haha

Those little buggers are always tripping me up! It just makes me want to run around and squash them all!
Maybe my question should have been: what color is a Smurf's guts when you squash him under your shoe? Haha
Sorry, that's mean! Lol

White? Is that because you squeeze all the color out of them?

The answer is purple, similar to the bruise you probably have on your head now from the vein you burst!

Here it is I thought I would escape the crazy violent world for a minute and then more violence like choking those cute little smurfs. Well I have a huge collection of smurfs I'll dig them out and carry out my own experiment I guess.

I should have prefaced my discussion with a disclaimer that I in no way advocate choking those cute little Smurfs!

More importantly, when flies die, do other flies fly around it and feast? :-p
