Today I went to the places that are usually cheap and that I do not shop and use coupons. Pic n save usually has excellent meats and always a good sale on something. Today it was Hamburger and Chicken breast. The hamburger was $2.79 per pound for 80/20 and the chicken breast were on sale for .99 per pound! I also got him a couple chuck steaks. Tony got hot dog buns and hamburger buns, I know he is playing rich man again! Aldi for Veggies. I spent $26 there and it was ALL veggies and fruits except a pack of Ham lunch meat and cheese, cereal for Tony. me A pack of crunch taco shells. I got a watermelon, 4 packs of baby carrots, huge bell peppers, 3 pack ( mine are already cut up and Tony wanted stuffed peppers) 4 pounds of huge red delicious Apples, lemons, 4 pounds of red seedless grapes and bananas. I refilled the fridge for around $60 and that should last the two of us for a week or more on fruits and raw veggies. How much do you spend a week on groceries?

@Courtlynn Oh okay, I guess since I have to budget money is why I keep up with how much I spend on food per week, or month.

How do you make your produce stay fresh for two weeks?

In the crisper in the bottom of the fridge. I still had cucumbers from the garden, lettuce and pears from weeks ago.

@AmbiePam I think a lot of it comes from the fridge is not held open a long time so the temp stays up, no children "looking" in the fridge here.

@andriaperry I live alone. I spend around 5 to 10dollars in food daily, plus the bills and other groceries for cleanings and the like.

We spend about fifty a week for the two of us. We buy at Costco in bulk for the meat and canned foods and than buy milk etc by the week.

We spend around $50-60 per week on groceries, but we don't get many fresh fruits or veggies, as that would bring the cost up much higher.

@andriaperry Two people here. Most of our food comes from the produce section so its probably a bit high but we must have decent fruits and vegies.

I would guess that our grocery bill averages out to around $80 to $90 a week, for the four of us. Sometimes less if there are good sales.

I would say it varies with the week, and how much cash I have available for groceries. I don't tend to use too many coupons though because most are for buy 3 items and get one free or buy two items and save a dollar. I don't have the upfront cash to shop that way,,nor will I use a lot of those items. Lately, I have been trying to find coupons for my Ibotta purchases.

Right now not much. My BF is away working on another island so my food bill is rather cheap. Plus for all our veggies I have an organic garden and just pick what I want. So I guess I would spend maybe 20 bucks or so on myself. I usually go to one market and spend around 60 to 70 dollars and this lasts me a month when he is gone. Now ask me again when he gets back. This is a completely different answer.

@andriaperryIt is the best. I am not one to buy veggies in the store because they grow them with too much crap and yuo can taste them in the food you eat.
