What was your ambition growing up?

I was playing with my niece today. She had on a stethoscope and was playing doctor with me. So I asked her if she wanted to become a doctor. She said no. She said she wanted to become a pilot, and fly planes. She wanted to bring our family anywhere we want to go. Our conversation made me smile. It made me remember my ambition as a kid. I wanted to be an archaeologist and dig up fossils. It is way far from what I'm doing now . How about you? What was your ambition growing up?

I dreamt of being a pilot, but then when i knew about how difficult and expensive it is, the dream just remained a dream.

It's never to late to make your dream into a reality. Yes, it's really expensive here in the Philippines. I think you can still do it.

In our culture, mothers do that a lot and impose their dreams on us. Did you finally get to finally do something you love?

Couldn't remeber whether I had my dreams or not when I was a kid. Or maybe a painter? since I was sensitive to colors when I was very young. However, my mom would like me to be a teacher. But i refuse it.

@Kattleya Oh, I mean I was good at painting when in primary school and won third prize in the national painting competition. When I grew up, seldom did I paint.

I'm curious. What do you mean by sensitive to colors?

To become a police was my ambition when I was a kid. But I took Journalism instead of police.

My first ambition was to become a painter or related type artist on fine arts but some one back in high school told me it was not profitable. I felt he wasn't helping me until I saw some one who is more intelligent and draws better than me.

There are a lot of people who will always try to put you down. It's really a matter of how you take it. I used to paint myself too. Do you still draw and paint now?

A ballet dancer. An orchestra pianist. A musical conductor. A lawyer. An archeologist. A mother of 8 children. :-) A pretty good imagination I grew up and nurtured with.

Sounds like you had a lot on your mind already when you were a kid. All of which sounds really great goals and careers.
