My visit with the cardiologist today

I went to the cardiologist today and got a great report. All my blood tests came back good. My blood pressure is better then it has ever been. My cholesterol is good. The cardiogram showed no problems. My incision is healing good. I have a little tenderness around it which is normal but I have no pain. He was very pleased with how well I am doing. I don't have to see him again for a year or two.
Now I just have to wait to see the surgeon in another 3-4 weeks to have an xray done to make sure everything is healed probably. I will know then when i can return to work. I am feeling better then I have in a very long time. It is a wonderful feeling.

@averygirl72 thank you. I woke up from my sleep with severe chest pain. Nothing like I had ever felt before. On a scale from 1 to 10 the pain was definitely a 10.

Thanks, it has been a struggle but it was all worth it to feel so good and healthy. I can't remember the last time I felt like this. It was long before my heart attack.

That is wonderful news! But it makes me confused why my cardiologist keeps having me come back every three months when there's nothing wrong with my heart (my palpitations have been diagnosed as being from anxiety) if you don't even need to see yours for another year or two. Maybe mine is just trying to pilfer as much money from patients as he can! Anyway, I am happy for you that you are doing so well and don't have to go back for a while. Hopefully your upcoming x-ray will show that everything has healed properly!

@Happy2BeMe Everyone I've spoken to is a bit confused by that. Generally when you get referred to a specialist and he determines the organ he specializes in treating is perfectly normal, he doesn't keep having you come back. I may just quit going since he's not really treating anything or running tests anyway.
