There is a couple who are about 39-47 of age, and they are sharing their one room with their kids. What do you think life is like in that house . Do you think they are enjoying their time together as a couple, and do you think their kids are growing in a good environmental health?

Well..I experienced that when we were young..I remember we only stay in 1 room all together..No bed, No sofas only 1 small wall folding table for eating..Good thing, we transferred to a much bigger apartment when I turned 10yrs. old.

@cacay1 Me personally: I couldn't be happy in such conditions never. But there are different people. Probably there are such people that are happy and in unity and their living space doesn't matter.

We are really spoiled in this "modern age." It hasn't been uncommon to live like that for all of history until just the last century or so. It's not good according to our standards, but who is to say what is really good for the kids and the adults? They just might interact more as a family than those who have separate rooms to huddle in.

@abcdmm I, for one, never thought you were mocking them. It's unusual for people to live like that nowadays, and it's sad because of that, that's all I meant.

Not an ideal arrangement, but sometimes we can only do the best we can given a situation. If the kids are older, maybe they should turn other parts of the house as a small room for more privacy. Sometimes people sleep on a couch in the living room.

Maybe they cannot afford to rent a two door apartment. If the children are mature enough, then it is not good for all of them to stay in one room.If the children are so young, there is no malice at all. They might divide the room in two to secure privacy

@abcdmm Maybe they save this time, or income from work just good for food and other important things.

The room is very small , can't be divided at all.
