Do you celebrate Halloween?

My family is a big fan of Halloween. We like to focus on the not-so-scary side and have fun decorating and dressing up. In the past, I have dressed as a cowgirl, Dora the Explorer, gypsy, witch, pirate lady - to name a few. I will probably dress up as a cowgirl again this year. I want to add a vest. I haven't had one before.
I've added a picture of me in one form of my cowgirl costume. The hair isn't mine, it is attached to the hat. I think I can do better this year. If it isn't too hot this year, I might even add sleeves! LOL
Will you be dressing up this year and what will you be?

The first and only time I dressed up for Halloween was over 55 years ago, when I lived for a year in the US.

We just have fun with it and it doesn't cost us very much since we generally make our own costumes.

Our youngest is 12. I don't know what will happen when he is "too old" to dress up. Those are his older brothers' words.

@horsesrule Two of mine went in the Army. No need to dress up when they are gone.

We live in the city but next to an overpass and we don't get trick or treaters here either. It makes me sad. I would love to dress up and hand out candy.

@horsesrule Me too. I would love to have the trick or treaters coming by in their cute costumes. Subbing that day, I don't love as the Halloween parties in class are a bit too rambunctious. lol

We don't do Halloween costume party here. They are usually done in malls but not at home. But I think it's really fun

Our family loves Halloween. Every year we do a big party for family and friends. The past five years we have had a haunted trail. Every year we add to the trail. We also do themed costumes. One year my girls dressed like the witches from Hocus Pocus. We have done a Scooby Doo theme, a zombie theme, and last year we did super heros. This year we are doing a carnival theme. We are gonna have clowns and gypsies and I am gonna be the ringmaster. We usually make our own costumes, also. It is so much fun.
