I used to be scared about the idea of having a gas stove at our home but not anymore. I feel that gas stoves are more dangerous than kerosene stove but I have been told that kerosene stove causes more damage in cases of accidents. Which one do you use and prefer?

What is your reason for liking an electric one? I have an electric stove with automatic on and off.

I might use the electric one in the next one year or two so maybe then I would understand it's limitations and be able to compare it with a gas stove.

Danger is there with each and every equipment we uses. We have to be careful with everything. Gas is more dangerous and it catch fire quickly. In a kerosene stove, it won't get fire that much quickly.
The point is we need all these equipments for making food and other purposes. So learn how to use it safely. That is the only thing we can do. Stay safe and healthy.

@Sreekala I also support your point where you say that a gas catches fire quickly. Thanks for the tip and advice. :)

Both are equally dangerous if you are not careful. For gas stoves, you have to make sure that the tube that connects the gas to the inlet of stove is in perfect condition.

We have now shifted to induction cooking all those types seem dangerous to me now although I still maintain an LPG gas stove as back up incase of power outtage.

@AkoPinay very unique response. :)
Use of charcoal makes it safe as it does not require special care.
