Our country's government school grades are deteriorating compare to private school. The differences between these two schools are:
Government schools are subsidized by the government, where the local children do not have to pay any money to the school they attend to. Private school do not receive any funds from the government. Which means, the parents have to pay for all the expenses and miscellaneous charges which are induced from the private school in order to pay for the teaches salaries and other fees.
However, the grades of the government school is deteriorating fast because the students are not being educated well by the local teachers. Many of the students either play truant, skip school lessons, school bullies and surprisingly, the teachers do not care whether homework are done or not. The moral and behavior of the students are ignored. The teachers prefer to teach tuition as another source of income that pays more than their original salary.
These are the facts that I had heard from my own sisters and brothers who had sent their kids to government schools.

@peachpurple they should. But here most of the teachers in the public schools were able to get in because of their political connection and not because they are really qualified.

This issue had occurred for a long time. At the end of the day, it is up to the students and the parents to do their own part since relying on government teachers is not exactly fruitful. However, not all teachers are incompetent though. I have seen some really dedicated teachers who go the extra mile for students.

back in the 1980s, I was studying in government school too. My teachers are not helpful especially weak students like me. I had one teacher who looked down on me. She purposely shamed me infront of my classmates and pretended to be the weak one. Then, everyone scolded me for making her "suffer"because of my lousy result.
