Non-Traditional College Student, That would be me!!

So, I started my college journey later in life, I was 49. I was also homeless at the time living in a tent in a homeless camp in the woods. Divine Intervention is the only explanation for what happened next. That was seven years ago, and I have since earned my A.A. with Honors, and I am proud to say less than 4 months away from earning my Bachelor's degree. My life has been completely and forever changed. I'm just curious if there are other non-traditional students in the MyLot community. I would love to hear your experience, your accomplishments, your struggles, and your success.

Congrats. I have a family friend who completed her bachelor degree in history when she was in her mid 60s. By 70s, she was doing a masters degree.

I have been kicking around the idea of go all the way after I get my Bachelor's. Master's would be the next step, but it's been a long seven years, and I think I'm about done.

Congratulations on your achievements so far and I'm sure you'll let us know when you receive your Bachelor's degree. A party may be in order.

For sure, a party is in order. I can't wait til December to walk across that stage and receive my diploma. It has been a long hard seven years, but to finally see the light at the end of the proverbial tunnel, is amazing. Thanks so much for your congratulations and support.
