Good afternoon.It was quite a morning for us on the tennis court.
Into less than an hour playing.We had a disaster in the next court.
I did not see it .There was a woman player on the floor face down as it was bleeding.We ran got some ice and paper towel and the blood continued.
What happen was the players who are partner.One of them returning the ball as the partner also was trying to get it.she did not see her and with the return ;
She swung the racquet and boom hit her in the face so hard that she fell to the floor.
She had a big gash on her nose.The bleeding continue.We call 911
They finally got there and check her out.Best she go to the ER to make sure that she did not get a concussion.I did not take any photo as I thought that was bad taste.We never finish the game as most of us were upset.We know the ladies as they are in our league.Sad morning.This is not a day to start.
After that head to the lab for my blood count and injection.
Hope your day is better than ours.
The sunflowers are from our garden

Ouch. What a terrible thing to happen. I feel very bad for the injured woman. Such a freak accident. I think it was very considerate of you not to take a picture. Many people give no thought to others and will take pictures of anything, no matter how tasteless it might be.
Your sunflowers are beautiful! It's nice to have your own flowers that you can cut and bring in the house to spread the sunshine inside as well as out. I hope the rest of your day is better than the beginning.

Great picture of the flowers @amadeo . I remember getting smacked a few times as a kid playing tennis, but definitely not as bad as she got it.

Sports injuries happen, even in tennis, unfortunately. I'm glad you took care of that poor woman and help arrived. I was playing doubles once and was close to the net. I got slammed by a ball right in the throat. Boy, did that hurt! I can only imagine a racquet to the face! Hope she will be ok. I'm sure the woman who hit her feels just awful. Beautiful sunflowers, btw.
