HOW DO I DO?

I am somebody who always feel shy to look directly into people face especially opposite sex. So because of this, if it happen that i meet new person in life for the first time and do not waste time with the person for a number of minutes, if it happens i meet him or her a number of days, months or year to come, i hardly find it difficult to remember the person again. So my friends and neighbors think i am somebody who hasn't got time for people , not knowing that it is not an intentionally do that but rather is gift God has given to me. i always try to explain but they never want to understand me. so i don't know how am going to make them understand me again.
