I think we need a rainbow

We need rainbows to sooth our souls. It was May 27 2011 at about 7:10 am when I took the above photo. The sunrise was intense and I was already on the road to go feed Max and Meetzee, they were still living at mom's old house. I know this shot looks intense but unless you've lived in a desert you really don't know just how intense the sun can be even at sunrise which is why the area looks so golden, it didn't last very long but this is a lucky shot of a rainbow which doesn't happen that often here.

That's a really beautiful picture of a rainbow. I' I've lived in the desert for a short while but never saw anything like that although we did have snow one day. I quite agree with you about rainbows soothing the soul.

I wish I could but the camera I had at the time was a cheap digital with only 3 megapixel output so enlarging it to over 4x6 would make it look really grainy.

@rebelann No, not this time. We have lots of them here on the islands and I can basically get photos of them all the time. So this time I didn't bother to take any.

That is a good point @RubyHawk in this past July and August it rained a lot here but I didn't go out as much because the mud it creates is really slippery so I am betting I missed a few rainbows had I paid better attention.
