Technology has both bad and good sides. The bad affecting the youth severely the effects of technology in our lives is huge .We use it in our everyday lives and many different ways, sometimes we use it to harm ourselves.
Perhaps, what we usually called modern technology, is not new as such. Think this way,the smartphone is just an advancement of simple mobile phone we we use along ago.. A nother example is the train ; electronic train is just an advancement of steam engine powered train.
Its used In our everyday activities to fulfil specific task or interest. Besides all this, advantages overides disadvantages.
Faster communication, today you can communicate with someone living far away easier and faster. Access to information, improved lifestyle entertainment has improve greatly.

I think technology is a good thing and a bad thing. I mean, we of course enjoy more convenience, creature comforts, and sometimes it can make our lives easier. BUT, there's a downside. The more technology can do for us, the less we can do or are willing to do for ourselves. As a result people are becoming anti-social (outside of the Internet) and becoming more lazy.

I like technology, but in a lot of ways I think we have forgotten how to interact with people face-to-face.

Everything in the world has it's advantages and disadvantages. I give more importance to the advantages rather than the disadvantages.
