Talking While Watching TV

I always have that one person in the family who keeps conversing while we are watching television.
That does make me lose focus and lose track of what's going on the screen.
Therefore, I prefer watching on my PC instead.
Do you have such people at home?

No, I don't. We hardly watch tv as a family and when we do, we watch a show that interests all of us. But when we don't watch the same show, we each go to our rooms and watch whatever we like.

@holdoors Sure it does. Every family is different.
I remember when I was a kid. We all watched tv in our parents room and it's something we all enjoyed including my parents. It was our bonding time.

I get irritated whenever someone does that but the good thing is no one in my immediate family is like that.

@holdoors I think you'd try considering to be alone while watching so that you can focus on the shows you're watching.

my partner has a habit of doing this. Sometimes it's okay but sometimes it annoys me because when I watch, I want to understand the story in detail. I tell him to be quiet when he talks too much. Haha.

Yes there are such people. Sometimes I like when we watch together and sometimes when I watch alone.

I have in the past and it is quite irritating. Now if it was just during the commercials, it would be completely a different reaction.

Yeah.. sometimes my uncle used to do that...when we are watching news and it makes us to lose what was going on the tv...
