Sleep Has Become an Issue

I have never had sleep issues, I fall asleep quickly and stay asleep. Well, at least I did until about a month ago. Now I fall asleep and wake in the morning but I don't feel rested. My Fitbit says that I am awake and restless about half of the time I am asleep. I am getting just slightly over 4 hours of sleep a night and I feel it.
It all started about the time that Beau started having his issues. But here I am on vacation and I thought I might go back to my normal restful sleep but so far, no. I suppose I will have to talk to my doctor if it doesn't improve. I am still able to function quite well but I am more tired than I should be.
I know that many of you have sleep issues as well, I just never thought I would be one of you but I guess I have joined this rather sad club.
Photo is Al after we got to our first hotel. lol

For me sleep has been tough since menopause. Takes forever to get to sleep even if I feel I'm ready. It's quite frustrating. Hope you can solve your issue.

That's not good. Maybe you need to have a sleep test done. They can determine what's going on at night that makes it difficult for you to get your rest. Sleep is so important.

I'm sleeping better these days but I don't know if I can trust my sleep app. The last two days it has shown me asleep (light sleep) when I was clearly awake. Once nodding off and on while watching a movie and this morning while having my first cup of coffee.

I am wondering if my fitbit is just wrong, I think I will switch it to the other arm and see if that makes a difference.

Well hopeful as your vacation progresses perhaps you'll relax enough to get a good night's sleep again. I am lately sleeping and waking but once I do manage to get to sleep I sleep through a number of hours. However I can tell you what is happening during the night at intervals.

Al certainly doesn't look like he has trouble sleeping . I'm one of those people who doesn't sleep well so I can sympathize with your sleeping issues. Hopefully it will pass and you'll get back to a good nights sleep.

I am sorry you are having this problem, I would go ahead and talk to you doctor, 4 hours each night is not enough for the body to heal itself while sleeping.

I go thru periods like that where I cannot sleep well and am awake every so often during the night and of course in the morning I don't feel refreshed either.
Your husband doesn't look like he's bothered by this here-he looks quite relaxed sleeping there!

Welcome to the club, its really frustrating and medications really don't help you out much. You need to do meditate try some Yoga it might help you out.

I don't take sleep medication and won't but it isn't falling asleep that is the problem, it is having restful sleep/

@BelleStarr Same it really doesn't feel like we have slept even if its hours and hours spending in bed. I had tried some sleeping pills but now I discontinued it.
