We have been busy today in a relaxed sort of way

Although we are waiting for our neighbor to have time to look at our lawn mower, we did not stay home the entire day. I have been looking for a new, smaller computer desk for hubby. I found one on a buy sell trade site. We went to get it, then shopped for some fresh fruits and veggies. We also got a notebook and page covers for hubby to have an Amsoil price catalogue. I printed it for him. We went to Sonic for a half price drink during Happy Hour, then drove the long way home around the lake. We also set up the pop up today in the front yard. Hubby will hope to meet a few people while they are staging the parade across the road from us. I have done two loads of wash. I made breakfast and lunch. We just chose snacks for supper. When my daughter was here she helped me get some excess things out of my shed. I could actually get in and get to my box of colored glass. I have two projects that I hope to get done this fall that involve stained glass pieces. One is an antique door with some glass broken out. I want it to become my "coat rack" or hall tree. The other project involves a glass topped table. I broke the glass by setting too hot a dish on it, without a mat. I was going to trash it, but it occurred to me that I can make a mosaic over the top of it. I can then help the cracked glass stay together. I will cover the entire top with colored glass, then grout it all. It will be fun, and lovely, I hope. So, lesson learned, even if it is tempered glass, do not set a hot dish on it. I will get some "before" pictures and then hopefully will also have magnificent "after" pictures to delight and entertain you. I still have a lot to do tonight and tomorrow, as well as watch the parade.

I was busy today, too, doing bits of this and that. One thing I did manage to accomplish is to lower a rod in my bedroom closet to a reachable height (it was way up near the ceiling! and I'm short) and hang up a bunch of things on it. One less Rubbermaid container in the livingroom...

It feels good to get those containers empty and repurposed to something useful.

@GardenGerty Yes, it does. Right now, though, it's just containing another, smaller container, in the basement.

It should be fun. Hopefully with people from other towns, as this is a really small town. I know the marching bands for junior and senior high will be here.

It is funny, these small towns take turns, so to speak. One does Fourth of July, another is big on Veteran's Day, we do the big Labor Day event so we can all seem to support one another.

Busy enough to stay out of trouble and relaxed enough to survive.

I hope so too. A long time ago I had cut out some shapes, like flowers, for another craft but I would enjoy having them on my table. It will be a patio table.

I am really needing to do some things that are colorful and creative, so this should be fun. I hate to just throw things away if I can fix them.
