With the advent of smartphones equipped with a good camera, we can say that most of us use our phone to take pictures and videos. Do you still use digital cameras at all?

@vsai2008 I can't afford to buy expensive DSLR so I just mobilevcamera apps with better resolutions
While the iPhone's built-in [Camera app](http://www.imore.com/camera) is perfectly serviceable, the technology behind the [iSight](http://www.imore.com/isight) has the potential to be *amazing*. Luckily, there are a ton of great photography apps in the App

@AkoPinay As you say it depends on the camera, I have two very good cameras and the photos are so much better, not to mention the quality of the zoom, that is a real zoom, and not a digital one.

That is true, however, there's distinctive limitation between a phone camera and a DSLR. I'm a photography enthusiast looking for sites where my photos would fit, and you can really see the difference. How I wish to have one. Here is one of my photos, using iPhone 5s..

I think it depends nowadays on your line of work. If you are a photographer, or artist, it is important to take high quality photos for a portfolio or other projects. Even today, Smart phones still do not have the pixel quality that higher end digital cameras have. It really comes down to use and purpose in my opinion

I have a good digital camera that is too hard to carry around with me. I use it at times, but, since I have a camera on my smartphone I use it more. I can pull it out and take a picture, but, there are times it takes me awhile to take a picture so with my digital I can just aim and press the button and there is the picture.

Digital cameras are still in use especially for coverage and some professional photography though the digital cameras been used this days are very expensive, the cheaper ones have lost their market value

Absolutely I still use a digital camera! My DSLR allows me to manually adjust aperture, Fstop, and shutter speed to get the desired image for whatever it is I may be shooting. Not to mention with a camera, you have the ability to change lenses, which is incredibly important depending on the type of photography you're doing. Phone cameras a very good, yes, but they just don't offer the versatility a DSLR does, unfortunately.

Yes, I believe the talent and skill are factors which might affect us too. The bottleneck is the hardware though.
