Three Major Holidays Are Upon Us

Where has this year gone? It seems like just yesterday I was watching all the children dressed in their Halloween costumes were heading to town for the big event we have here. Here it is September already and each day seems to go by faster and faster. Will time ever slow down and let us catch up? Halloween will pass and then Thanksgiving will appear instantly. The turkey will be cooked and everyone will be full and then wham bam quess what happens Christmas will be here. Santa has been preparing for this day all year but have you? Is it just me or is the time flying by faster than it used to?

Time is surely flying. Halloween is not a big deal here, last year we barely noticed and Thanksgiving is only celebrated in North America. The first important celebration is Christmas.

Halloween isn't celebrated much like it used to be. I am looking forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas.

@velvet53 Halloween was not at all celebrated in Europe when I was young. In the early 90's we "imported" the idea from the United States and for a decade it was the big event. From a couple of years it has almost disappeared again.

I'm ready for all three holidays, but do wish time would slow down a bit.

@sugartoes I hadn't even thought about them until last night and the time has still gone fast. Maybe it is trying to tell me something.

It's not just you! I can't keep up with time any more. I have to start getting ready for Christmas or I won't make it in time. Wasn't the 4th of July just last week?

I won't be doing a lot. If the weather is bad I probably won't even go to my son's houses. I am not going to chance being on the road on a holiday.

@sugartoes I know how the weather can change and I wouldn't ask the kids to change their day just for me. It would be my luck that it would storm on the new day.

I've been slowly preparing for it all year, but still feel behind with Christmas (even though it's still months away)! I need to start making room in the freezer for turkeys.

I am getting prepared too. I don't want to wait until the last minute to have to get things.

@spiderdust My daughter-in-law is doing Thanksgiving again this year. Wince she learned to cook a turkey she wants to do it every year.

@velvet53 I've been looking up recipes so I can try to streamline the Thanksgiving prep.

The 3 holidays you mentioned are my favorite. September through January is my favorite time of year. That time of year always seems to movie extra fast. And June through August (my least favorite months) just kind of drag by.

Yes, those months do go super fast. It is probably because there is so much going on. Course time has been going fast this year for me.
